How to Refresh WhatsApp Contacts on iPhone

After having WhatsApp installed on your iPhone, do you end up seeing numbers instead of the names of your contacts? Are there contacts that should be on your WhatsApp contacts list that can’t be seen or accessed? Sometimes, iPhone users are plagued with problems like these.

Finding yourself in such situations can be frustrating, as communication via the app becomes quite stressful and near impossible sometimes. Before letting yourself fret over the problem of not being able to find your contacts, relax and read on.

One easy way to fix this problem, is by refreshing your WhatsApp. Thankfully, the way to get this done is quite easy and straightforward. More often than not, this refreshing process is done automatically on new updates.

To refresh WhatsApp contacts manually on your iPhone, follow the steps below:

Open WhatsApp, and go to Contacts and then click on the “Favorites” tab.

Scroll to the top of your “favorites” list, then pull the list down with your finger.

Your WhatsApp contacts list will now be refreshed. Your Favorites will be sorted alphabetically, and any previously hidden or deleted contacts will be restored.

If you are still unable to view your contacts, even after the refresh, there’s a chance that you haven’t given your WhatsApp permission to access your contacts in your iPhone Settings.

To confirm whether you have given your WhatsApp permission to access your contacts, follow the steps below:

Go to Settings, tap on “Apps” and select “WhatsApp” from the list.

Click on “Permission” and ensure that all the permissions are turned on.
