The Heart of Connection in December’s Joyful Masterclass

December’s “A Joyful Masterclass for Connection Professionals” was a refreshing take on building relationships. Designed to inspire and energize, Covve’s community masterclass brought together three creative leaders, each with a unique perspective on how we connect with others.

The event was anything but ordinary. 

Through thought-provoking exercises and creative approaches, participants explored connection in ways that went beyond the surface. It was an opportunity to learn first-hand about various methods and perspectives that can help us shape and nurture our relationships.

The Panelists

The workshop featured three experts whose work centers on fostering deeper, more meaningful relationships:

• Rachel Rozen
  • Passion, personal experiences, and problem-solving. These are the 3P’s for Connection introduced to the masterclass by Rachel Rozen, founder of Connection Catalyst. With her coaching expertise, Rachel offered participants a framework to move beyond small talk and forge deeper, more authentic relationships. Her session was an exploration of how conversations can evolve into meaningful connections when rooted in vulnerability and shared challenges.
• Carrie Klewin Lawrence
  • Active listening is an art, and Carrie Klewin Lawrence taught participants how to master it in her session, Beyond Words. As a stage director, acting coach, and author, Carrie guided attendees through exercises designed to focus on tone, meaning, and values in storytelling. Her methods showed that understanding isn’t just about hearing- it’s about truly seeing the person behind the story.
• Nathan Obokoh
  • Courage and curiosity take center stage in Nathan Obokoh’s storytelling. A multidisciplinary artist, Nathan introduced the concept of Kairos Moments during the masterclass, inviting participants to reflect on life’s pivotal choices. Using light, shadow, and poetry, he demonstrated how creativity can illuminate the ripples of our decisions, leaving attendees inspired to explore their own transformative experiences.
